Committees & Volunteer Opportunities

The Renal Healthcare Association fulfills its mission through education, advocacy, and services supporting renal healthcare excellence.  We believe in the power of collective action and the strength of our RHA community. To continue to fulfill our mission, we invite passionate and dedicated members to join our committees.

Eligibility

  • Committee participation is open to all members - Active, Associate, Affiliate, and Corporate Partner.
  • Volunteers will commit to serving on the committee for 2-years, starting January 5, 2026. 
  • Volunteer commitment is estimated at 3-7 hours a month. Meeting schedules will be determined once committee rosters are finalized based on the group's availability.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

In alignment with our Strategic Plan, below are the current RHA volunteer opportunities:

Advocacy

Advocacy volunteers play a vital role in serving as the voice for independent providers through strategic engagement in federal policy at all levels. Key focus areas include: Medicare Advantage, reimbursement, conditions for coverage, and wage index. 

Education

Education volunteer groups help lead a comprehensive education curriculum for dialysis professionals through various channels. Key focus areas include: education program for Annual Conference, ongoing CE opportunities, and product development. 

Home Therapies

Home Therapies volunteer groups help lead a comprehensive curriculum for dialysis professionals through various channels. Key focus areas include: regulatory, legislative, and home therapies decision tree. 

Membership

Membership volunteers promote a diverse and inclusive membership by fostering growth, expansion, and strengthening engagement. Key focus areas include: data analysis, membership growth, website review, and engaging with members.

Quality

Quality volunteer groups help lead a comprehensive curriculum for dialysis professionals through various channels. Key focus areas include: QAPI, ESRD, and QIP.

    Statement on RHA Volunteering and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

    RHA is committed to serving all those in our industries. RHA is dedicated to bettering our diversity, equity, and inclusion. It looks to embrace varied perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. RHA desires to remove barriers that prevent individuals from participating. RHA is looking to hear multiple viewpoints, provide opportunities to professionals in the industry, and find innovative solutions to better the industry for patients and providers. RHA needs volunteers from the whole team.

    • Diversity refers to a range of differences. This includes life experiences, gender, race, ethnicity, academic/ professional background, sexual orientation, age, disability status, or geographic location.
    • Equity refers to fairness and justice. It recognizes that not everyone starts at the same place, and adjustments are needed to fix the imbalance.
    • Inclusion is inviting and encouraging individuals in a consistent and open approach.
