Each year, we honor an individual who exemplifies leadership excellence—someone who rises above challenges, prioritizes the well-being of patients and their communities, and drives meaningful change within the industry. The award seeks to recognize those who continue the spirited advocacy and leadership demonstrated by Mark Zawiski.

About Mark Zawiski

Mark Zawiski’s career in renal care began while he attended night school, initially serving as a patient care technician. He advanced through various roles, earning his MBA, and eventually overseeing several dialysis facilities in Miami. Mark was deeply involved in the Renal Healthcare Association, serving as Treasurer and a Director, and was a well-known advocate and educator within the renal community. His sudden passing left a significant void, yet his legacy continues through this award, celebrating those who champion the same commitment to excellence in renal care.
