Fundamentals of Dialysis

The Renal Healthcare Association has developed a valuable resource to meet the educational needs of new hires and seasoned employees seeking additional support with the fundamentals of dialysis and patient care. This on-demand comprehensive program encompasses instructor-led pre-recorded sessions, supplemental resources, and assessments. Participants gain access to nine user-friendly learning modules covering a range of topics crucial for training, as recommended in the Dialysis Technician Core Curriculum.

The program addresses essential subjects such as patient care, infection control, professionalism, procedures, dialysis principles, vascular access, equipment, water treatment, and emergency planning -- ensuring that professionals in the field are well-prepared to provide exceptional care to patients.

How it Works

The Fundamentals of Dialysis and Patient Care program occurs via on-demand instructor-led sessions divided into nine modules. Each module is supported with study guides and individual quizzes, culminating with a final exam.

Upon completion of the final exam, students receive a certificate of completion and can apply for continuing education credits.

Program Pricing

The program price includes access to all nine content modules, corresponding study guides, and quizzes for 75 days.

Continuing Education Credits are available for an additional fee. Renal Healthcare Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #10584, for 1 contact hour per session.
