Based in Joliet, Kristin began her dialysis career immediately after nursing school and has since grown through a variety of clinical and leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has supported the launch of new dialysis units, contributed to operational setup and program development, mentored and developed nurses, and played a key role in implementing and refining electronic medical record systems to better meet organizational needs.
.
Over the years, her experiences working alongside nurses, physicians, and patients have continued to reinforce her passion for dialysis care and advancing home therapy programs.
.
Kristin shared that one of the greatest values of her RHA membership is the opportunity to stay closely connected to emerging trends, regulatory updates, and innovations within the dialysis and home therapy space. She values the educational resources, conferences, and ongoing learning opportunities available through the association, as well as the ability to collaborate with peers and contribute to meaningful discussions that help shape best practices in dialysis care. As a newer member and first-time committee participant, Kristin is excited to share her experiences while continuing to learn from others across the renal healthcare community.
.
Her engagement with RHA has also inspired her to further strengthen patient connection and engagement within her own work. When asked what advice she would give to new leaders in dialysis, Kristin offered a simple but important reminder: “When you are stuck, reach out for help! You are not alone!” Outside of work, Kristin stays busy as a proud mom of five — including 11-year-old twins — and grandmother to three grandchildren whom she describes as “the best kiddos out there.”
.
RHA is grateful for members like Kristin, whose passion, leadership, and dedication continue to strengthen the renal healthcare community.
