UPCOMING LIVE WEBINARS

In-Home Dialysis: Working Together, Sharing Resources
May 26, 2021

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET

The Renal Healthcare Association is proud to share the important work of the Home Transitional Task Force. The Home Dialysis Committee tasked this small group of dedicated experts to formulate policies and procedures that take “the scary” out of managing a home program. If your organization finds itself confronted with big questions anywhere along this spectrum of challenges, you will find it helpful to learn about the task force, about in-home dialysis as a major component of the ETC that aims, in part, to test whether greater use of home dialysis will reduce Medicare expenditures, while preserving or enhancing the quality of care. Take-“home,” adopt and apply practical policies/procedures and resources for your current or future program.

Safety In Home Dialysis: Engaging Stakeholders to Prevent Non-Infectious Complications
    June 23, 2021

    1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET

In-home dialysis presents unique challenges in patient safety.  Dialysis professionals no longer retain hands-on control of dialyzing the patient and lack the direct contact they would have in-center.  How do you ensure proper patient selection, education, the ability of patients to manage risks? Expert presenters from the Renal Healthcare Association’s Home Transition Taskforce will share their in-depth knowledge of major safety challenges and troubleshooting with examples from home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.  Providers need to recognize and prioritize patient safety and all the areas in which adverse events may exist and how to address them to manage a healthy home program.

      Presented by:

      Danilo Concepcion, CBNT, CCHT-A, FNKF
Operations Manager, Renal Services - St. Joseph Hospital

      Peggy Bushey, BSN, RN, CDN
Renal Nurse Supervisor - University of Vermont Medical Center
