Lessons Learned from an Unexpected Dialysis Unit Closure

In this webinar, we will discuss the timeline of events related to a temporary dialysis unit closure and relocation as a result of flooding. We will go through the decision-making process for determining whether to relocate services, which type of dialysis and water room equipment to use and space considerations. We will share some of the tools that were developed to help track needed workflows during a crisis. We will share lessons learned from both our incenter and home dialysis staff. And lastly, we will discuss CMS guidance and regulation related to temporary relocations vs SPDF. Preparation is key, so you will be ready when the unthinkable happens!
