The first webinar in this series provided an overview of key regulatory actions that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has taken to date to help dialysis providers care for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar also described CMS waivers on provider enrollment and licensure, survey and certification, provision of dialysis to patients in nursing homes, and billing and reimbursement. The webinar also provided details on Medicare advanced payments to providers and additional potential sources of federal funding relief for treating COVID-19 patients.
