The introduction of the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Treatment Choices (ETC) Model is leading to a dramatic shift from clinic-based care to home-based care for dialysis patients nationwide. For independent dialysis organizations, this transition is creating both challenges and opportunities. Many organizations that do not offer home care today are evaluating what steps they should take to establish a successful home dialysis program.
