On June 29, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a proposed rule that would update payment policies for the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System (PPS). The rule covers payment rates for renal dialysis services, including updates to acute kidney injury, furnished to beneficiaries on or before January 1, 2018.
